Design & Plans

Since Artscape Land Design is predominantly an architecture firm, we feel that design is the most important aspect of transforming your outdoor space. Like house blueprints, your landscape plan is the foundation for your project.

Innovative Design & Personal Service

Along with innovative design, we also offer personalized service. We focus on exceeding expectations, whether we are consulting, designing, or installing for our residential and commercial clients.

How Does The Design Process Work?

We recommend that you contact us with an email, briefly explaining your project. Artscape Land Design will reply to your email with information about our services and a ballpark estimate of our plan prices.

If you want to move ahead, we will set up an appointment to meet with you at your residence or commercial property to discuss your project free of charge.

After the initial face-to-face meeting, we email you the exact estimate for our landscape architects to draw plans for your new project. You will also receive separate estimates about each phase of your project professionally. At this point, you can hire Artscape Land Design to build your project professionally – or you can install it yourself.

If you decide to choose Artscape Land Design to install your entire project, you’ll receive a discount equal to what you spent on the landscape plans. That way, if you hire us to work on the project, you are virtually getting a licensed architect to design the plans for free.

The Artscape Advantage

Sure, anyone can promise to build outdoor and landscape projects for you. However, hiring a licensed landscape architect to draw plans and approve them, ensures you will receive a professional design that will, in turn, significantly increase your property value.

Many residential subdivisions and commercial buildings now require stamped landscape plans from a licensed landscape architect.

Our Landscape Plan & Design Package

  • Two consultations with Kirk Colgan, PLA (Professional Landscape Architect) before and after the design of the landscape plans.
  • One-color 24” x 36” Landscape Plan, plus one color 8.5x11.”
  • A personal letter from the architect explaining the design of the plans, including the design concept, material details, and when the design could be implemented.
  • Itemized estimates for Artscape Land Design to professionally install the project, including landscaping (garden beds), hardscaping (patios, pergolas, pavilions, decks, walks, porches, steps, etc.), water features (pools, fountains, waterfalls) and other optional irrigation systems or lighting systems.
  • A “Do-it-yourself Landscape Installation Pamphlet” with easy to follow instructions to build the project yourself (given to clients upon request).
  • A monthly maintenance schedule on how to keep your landscape healthy and to thrive for years to come.

How Long Is The Process?

After the initial meeting, most plans will take us approximately 3-6 weeks to design, draft, and print, depending on the scope of the project and our schedule.

Once you receive the plans, we’ll set another appointment to discuss your design and any updates or revisions necessary. Along with the set of plans, we can also email you a digital copy of your plans at no extra charge.
